Hello,

In my dashboard I am using among others the 'Income & Expenditure widget', comparing current and previous month. I have also a report with the last 12 months Income/Expenses (reduced to just last and current months for the screenshot). In both cases including everything but transfers. But the result is not the same:

Clearly in the report the incomes were higher than the expenses, but the widget is showing something different. Why? Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Hi,

In dashboard and in reports, you can click of a value to see all operations entering in the computation of this value.
This can help you to understand the difference.

Good idea ... and I found the difference (only ONE transaction), and it is related to how transfers are tracked.

I am paying my mortgage quarterly, and I pay it in three concepts, but I have only one 'split' transaction:
  • Principal returned: transfer to the 'loan account' from EUR to JPY
  • Interests: expense
  • FX fee (my mortgage is not in EUR): expense

In the Dashboard widget it is tracked well.
In the report the 'Principal' is tracked twice: one as a 'expense' in EUR and a second one as a 'income' in JPY, so because of the FX fluctuations, the amounts don't match exactly.

Is this the expected behaviour?

Hi,

Could you open a ticket with a sample file to reproduce the issue ?
I will analyze it in detail.

I recently took out a large loan. To be more precise, I took out a mortgage for our house. It's a lot of money. Consequently, I have to pay a considerable amount of money every month on the house. Money makes me very nervous and constantly counting my finances. This kind of app will come in handy for me because I really can't always keep track of the flow of money in our family. Is it possible to set up a card connection there so the app can see expenses? When I took out a mortgage, I needed Mortgage Advice Essex, and it said that from the moment I took out a loan, I should always have peace of mind because I know I have enough money in my account.
