Unexpected import when accidentally open a KMyMoney file

Hello,

Something weird happened to me yesterday.

1. I was, as I always am, testing different options and I tried to export from Skrooge to KMyMoney, and it worked fine apparently.

2. I wanted to see the generated file in KMyMoney, so I went to the file manager, and double-clicked on the newly generated file, expecting KMyMoney to be opened.

3. For some reason, Skrooge was the application open (probably my bad, as probably I have the kmy extension linked to Skrooge).

4. Here is where the problem begun: Skrooge automatically started to import the KMM file into the already open SKG file, with the result of a mess of file (tens of duplicated entries plus un-identified equities and currencies, odd exchange rates, ...). Fortunately I have always updated backup, so nothing critical.

But my point is, should Skrooge do this without warning, specially when importing to a non-empty file? I have been looking for some configuration I might have missed, and couldn't find anything regarding warnings.

Thanks

Hi,

At the end of the import, you should have a message displayed that an import has been done.
Moreover, as all actions, the import can be undone (CTRL+Z) without having to use a backup file.

Regards.

To be honest, I knew it was being imported, because it takes a long time (17 years of personal finances!!!) but I didn't get any pop-up at the end and also, I didn't try the ctrl-z option.

But I think it would be better to ask for confirmation before importing over an open file.

Thanks!
