ISO 20022 format import

Wed Jun 22, 2022 2:43 pm
I recently ran into the ISO 200022 format and it sounds like something Skrooge would benefit from supporting (at least) as import.

As its name – Universal financial industry message scheme – implies it’s a global standard format for financial transaction between banks. More and more banks offer direct export of transaction data in this format now to their clients.

From a technical PoV, it’s an XML format that is very well publicly documented and should be fairly easy to parse.

My (new) bank offers ISO 20022 XML exports, so I’m happy to help with data and testing, if anyone is willing to write an importer.

The new import of ISO 20022 is available in git of Skrooge.
You can test it.

Perfect, thank you :)

Looking forward to 2.29 finally being packaged for my distro, since that’s the first release that supports ISO 20022.
