Hi,
I'm a new user of skrooge, and i have two questions: Is it possible to specify a saving account, and it's rate? Is it possible to specify an end date for programmed operations? Thanks for the help. |

Hi,
No it is not possible to add a rate on an account. This feature is not currently in our plans, but could be added if requested (http://bugs.kde.org) Yes it is possible to specify an end date for scheduled operations, starting from version 0.5.2, which is not yet released. A workaround is simply to delete the first unneeded occurence, this will prevent skrooge from inserting new occurrences. Guillaume

I noticed that as of Skrooge 1.3.3 (and maybe earlier) there is now a "rate" column on the accounts page, There's no editor for this value, but does this mean that this feature is now in the works? That would be great, since I could then sort my wife's student loans by interest rate to prioritize which ones to pay extra on. Thanks, Rob |

Hi,
In fact, this is possible to specify the rate of accounts from the "Simulation" page. This allows Skrooge to compute the interests of the current year. |

OK. I found that. Thanks. It looks like I need to input the rate (which seems to be limited to 2 decimal places) on the simulation page and then click "Add" for the rate to appear on the accounts page. But I notice that "add" also generates some numbers in the table "Interest Results" on the simulation page. Do these have any effect on the account operations, or are they just as the page name implies, a simulation? I ask because I have no idea what I just generated, the terms "credit value date", "debit value date" and "base computation" that seem to be used to generate the "interest results" are not familiar to me. Thanks again. |

No effect on account. This is just the detail of the computation of interests.
