Skrooge split transactions

Tue Sep 07, 2010 6:12 pm
first of all thanks for the nice software. I am a kmymoney user trying to move to skrooge. how do i create entry for incomes which goes to multiple accounts. What I want is something like

my salary gets deposited automatically to my bank account.
however a part of it goes to the PF account (retirement account) - which I treat like an asset.
so something like

gross salary - 1000
income tax -> 100 (expense)
PF account -> 200 (I want to track this so I want to have a separate account)
rest 800 gets deposited to my bank

Also is there a way to track liabilities.

TIA

Hi,

You can create a split operation, that would have 2 suboperations :
* gross salary : +1000
* tax : -100

Then, you create a transfer of 200 between your bank account and your retirement account.

Regarding liability, you may want to look at the tracker plugin.

Hope this helps !
