Import problem after changing account number

I had to change account number on a credit card due to some bogus charges.

I realized after trying to import new transactions in OFX format that they wouldn't get imported since the account number had changed and of course wouldn't match anymore.

So, I've updated the account number in the Skrooge account editor.

Now I still can't import the transactions from the new number. I get the following error:
Code: Select all
[ERR-5]: Import of file named 'file:///home/rob/Downloads/xxxxxxxx.ofx' failed

When I click "History", I get some more detail:
Code: Select all
[ERR-5]: Import of file named 'file:///home/rob/Downloads/xxxxxxxx.ofx' failed
[ERR-8]: More than one object returned in 'v_account' for 't_number='xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx''

Where I've obscured the account number and file name for obvious reasons . . . I have double checked the typing, though.

What do I need to do to be able to import new transactions? I didn't want to create a new credit card account, since the transaction history from the two is merged, only the CC account number has changed -- it's really the same account.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Rob

Edit: should have said this is Skrooge 1.2.0

This error because Skrooge needs to import operations in the account having the number "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" and Skrooge found more than one account with this number. So Skrooge is not able to identify the target account.

You just have to modifier the account numbers to be sure that each one is unique.

I hope this will help you.

Thank you for using Skrooge.

Ah, I see, now.

When I had tried to import new data before changing the account number, Skrooge created a new "dummy" account for the it. So after changing the current account number, I now had two. It had not occurred to me that it had done that, and I didn't notice the extra account.

I removed the newly auto-created account, and all is well.

Thanks
