Hello,
I installed debian-armel/unstable on my phone. Do I have to build plasma-active from the sources ? Do you have an idea about the performances on my device (pxa-312) ? Regards, Fabien |

I am afraid you will have to build it from source. All our packages (i586 and arm) are rpm based. Performance depends on if there is a driver for the GPU with opengl support. If that is not available then it depends on the CPU power and your CPU is 624 MHz, right? I think there is a video on the Internet with Plasma Active running on Nokia N900 (600 MHz Cortex-A8), it should work similiar or even better than Nokia N900 as long as there is a driver for the GPU.
You can try installing one of the arm images on a SD card: http://community.kde.org/Plasma/Active/ ... RM_Systems You will need to replace the kernel on the device to boot PA from the SD card, keep a backup of the original kernel.
