compiling from sources

Sun Apr 08, 2012 3:18 pm
Hello,

I'm trying to compile plasma-active but it seems that libraries are missing:
CMake Error at /usr/share/kde4/apps/cmake/modules/FindPackageHandleStandardArgs.cmake:198 (MESSAGE):
Could NOT find KActivities (missing: KACTIVITIES_INCLUDE_DIRS
KACTIVITIES_LIBRARIES) (Required is at least version "6.0.0")

Where can I find the list - or sources - of libraries that I need to achieve this ?

KActivities is a part of kdelibs, although packaged seperately by some distributions.

Nope, kactivities is a different repository than kdelibs so it is always packed separately. Besides, you also need to compile kde-workspace with mobile profile instead of the default one and install all startactive dependencies (grep ^exe= /usr/share/kde4/apps/startactive/modules/*.module) or you will not be able to start Plasma Active's workspace.

Hello,

I ended up with using the script "kdesrc-build".
My first step is to build the module "qt-copy".
I put the following options in the script:
Code: Select all
module qt-copy
       configure-flags -v -prefix /usr/arm-linux-gnueabi \
       -embedded arm -xplatform qws/linux-arm-gnueabi-g++  \
       -opensource -make libs -force-pkg-config \
             -nomake examples -nomake demos \
             -no-phonon # See module-set below
   repository kde:qt
   branch 4.8
end module

Is that complete ?

phonon is used in Plasma Active, you should enable it. Besides that I think the rest is correct.
