Hi everyone,,
I've few questions about Plasma Active & hope to find the answer here *~ Is Plasma Active similar to KDE I mean that it can be installed in any Linux disrtos, windows, mac os ? *~ Nowadays we have Plasma Active Tablet , this tablet build in which distribution (open suse, arch ....) ? *~ Now if I purchase Tablet with Plasma Active, would I be able to run some popular linux app ( dolphin , gimp , vlc , Kmail ...) ? thanks in advance .. |

1) Plasma Active can only be installed on Linux distributions which have packaged it. At this stage, as it requires patches to many KDE components, few have done this at this time.
2) The Vivaldi tablet is built on the 'Mer' distribution. OpenSUSE based images are also available for some hardware. 3) While this is possible in theory, please be aware that most applications are not designed around a touch interface - except for their touch friendly versions (Kontact Touch for instance). These may be pre-installed on the tablet.
