Does Plasma Active actually work on x86?

I've tried using both the kubuntu and mer flavours of Plasma Active live USB on a Samsung Series 7 Slate (Ivy Bridge) and a Lenovo Twist(Sandy Bridge). Plasma Active is non-functional on both. On the Slate I can get wireless to work but I cannot type in the wireless password text box for a secured connection (uh, also for a supposed tablet OS there appears to be no OSK...), I cannot create new activities and touch, pen, and mouse input are sporadic at best and typically non responsive to anything but sliding out those drawers on either edge of the screen that have no purpose.

The Twist does not even show as having wireless and touch input has no effect, mouse button input doesn't seem functional.

Is there some trick to getting Plasma Active on x86 to do more than just boot?
