I have been attempting to get Plasma-Active working on my surface. So far I have tried Kubuntu and installed the plasma-active packages. It installs but then just boots to a black screen with the mouse. I tried using the Kubuntu-Active ISO imaged to a USB drive but cannot get that to boot, it seems it does not support UEFI boot. I now have OpenSuse 12.3 installed as it appears plasma-active only supports 12.3 I tried 13.1 first but ran into the same issue as Kubuntu after I finally got plasma-active dependencies resolved and several things had to be downgraded. With the current 12.3 setup Plasma-Active installed normally. When I (re)move the /usr/share/autostart/kde-desktop.desktop file the machine boots with a black screen. If I restore the file the machine boots into normal KDE but has some of the Plasma-Active behavior such as the lock screen and inability to actually logoff. I am hoping someone can help here.
