Hi: I've installed OpenSUSE 12.1 on my EXOPC but now I'm unsure how to install and configure Plasma Active. Plasma Active doesn't come up in Apper, and the wiki online instructions seem to be for OpenSUSE 11.4 --> http://community.kde.org/Plasma/Active/ ... ion_Recipe
Many thanks for any reply, -Peter |

It doesn't seem to be about 11.4, it says 12.1 right at the beginning of the article, and the repository is for 12.1.
Do you have the "plasma active" repository enabled? It should show in YaST Software Repositories. |

The page was updated to 12.1 since my initial forum post, the wiki log states:
22:35, 25 November 2011 Sebas (Talk | contribs) (17,058 bytes) (Update installation recipe for 12.1) I've edited http://community.kde.org/Plasma/Active/ ... ion_Recipe to add YaST GUI alternatives for the OpenSUSE install. In addition, I've noted a couple of issues from OpenSUSE 11.4 that seem to be fixed in OpenSUSE 12.1: if others agree, feel free to delete both the issue and my added note. Also: if the qt-mobility package is not installed the Introduction activity in Plasma Active doesn't load and instead displays an error that QtMultimediaKit is not installed. -Peter |

Following the instructions for installing of Plasma Active Two on OpenSUSE 12.1 as directed here does not work (at least for me) --> http://community.kde.org/Plasma/Active/ ... ion_Recipe
The only way I've gotten Plasma Active Two to install on OpenSUSE 12.1 is to install Plasma Active (One?) from the old repository first --> http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... nSUSE_12.1 and then follow the upgrade directions from this topic thread (post #2) --> viewtopic.php?f=211&t=98187&p=211306#p211306 or the Wiki --> http://community.kde.org/Plasma/Active/ ... Active_One To summarize: (Install OpenSUSE 12.1, install all updates)
(reboot, Plasma Active (One?) working THEN)
