I'm running Plasma Active Two on OpenSUSE 12.1 on an EXOPC tablet. Instead of booting directly into Plasma Active Two I'm getting a small login window that's forcing me to enter a password: do you know any way I can circumvent that? I'm new to KDE so maybe I've missed something, but I've already checked Yast > User and Group Management > Expert Options > Login Settings: this displays the "Display Manager Login Settings" screen where "Auto Login" is already checked. I've tried toggling that check box and the check box for "Passwordless Logins" that also appears on that screen -- no difference.
It's a problem because I have to have a USB keyboard on hand to boot the EXOPC into Plasma Active Two. Is there another place where the login options are set? Many thanks for any reply, -Peter ------------------------------------ SOLVED: As Directed Below: Search for KDM in the Application Launcher Login Screen Configure the Login Manager (KDM) Go to the Convenience Tab Check "Enable Auto-Login" Thank You! -Peter

there is a control panel for KDM itself that has these options. can be run using: kcmshell4 kdm (should also show up in the Application Launch area when searching for "kdm")

Searching the Application Launcher for "password" provides one choice, which does not have login settings.
However, searching for "login" displays the login manager (KDM) choice, where autologin can be enabled. The tablet context is taking some getting used to. |
