Hello, I was able to install plasma-active on my HP Slate 500 tablet running opensuse 12.1.

When I installed plasma-active one, I was able to run it on my tablet without any problems. But when I upgraded to plasma-active two, every time I ran plasma-device, it would crash and give a segmentation fault error . Does anybody else experience this and any help would be appreciated .

Do you have a backtrace from this crash? Have you tried starting it with a Fresh user account?

I installed a fresh copy of opensuse and did all the system updates. Then I installed plasma-active and I am still getting the same error. Here is a copy of the backtrace:

I think that upgrading from OpenSuse to PA2 is not supported, you should use Balsam images when doing a upgrades.

I have tried using the Balsam images, but I get the same error when running the latest image. I end up with a black screen every time I try to boot the Live CD.

The black screen is known but and it lasts some minutes and then the system finishes to boot. I have heard reports of 7 minutes until the black screen vanishes and the system finishes to boot correctly. That is for HD and flash versions.

The only way I've gotten Plasma Active Two to install on OpenSUSE 12.1 is to install Plasma Active (One?) from the old repository first --> http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... nSUSE_12.1 and then follow the upgrade directions from this topic thread (post #2) --> viewtopic.php?f=211&t=98187&p=211306#p211306 or the Wiki --> http://community.kde.org/Plasma/Active/ ... Active_One
