plasma-desktop keeps crashing on me. Is there some way to debug it? Are there are any logs that I can look at?

suggestion - move your existing plasma rc files and see is a clean restart resolves the crashing

 mv $(kde4-config --localprefix)/share/config/plasma-desktop* $HOME/plasma-config/
plasma-desktop &

to debug (maybe)
run kdebugdialog -> deselect all -> search for plasma -> select all -> ok
after crash look at ~/.xsession-error log

update: before doing kdebugdialog removing ~/.xsession-error will make it easier to read and don't forget to disable the error logging when done
