It used to be that when I was viewing an image in Gwenview pressing the Escape key would switch back to Browse, ie, the two options at the top of the View menu, but this no longer works on my system. Is this a deliberate change, a bug, configuration or a problem with my setup?

Thanks, Jamie Kitson

currently esc is assigned to leave full screen mode, you can use settings -> configure shortcuts, to change it

Problem is, in the previous version, ESC worked both for "Browse" and for "Leave fullscreen mode". That was very handy (literally), as you could just let one hand lie on the ESC key and didn't have to move the mouse from wherever it was on the screen up to the browse button. Now, if you try to use it for the one function, it is removed from the other.

I hope this is a bug and not a feature, so that there is a way of getting that back, so ESC can serve both functions. I consider that any way of avoiding using the mouse is good. It's also an accessibility feature.

While I'm at it, you used to be able to use the carriage return key to enter View from Browse or to enter Fullscreen from View. That was also very handy, for the same reasons. There seemed to be no ambiguity. I would like to be able to go on with this also.
