Can't Gwenview use same key for two things?

First, Gwenview is a great viewer, without which I would not like to do.

But in the previous version, ESC worked both for "Browse" and for "Leave fullscreen mode". That was very handy (literally), as you could just let one hand lie on the ESC key and didn't have to move the mouse from wherever it was on the screen up to the browse button. But in 2.0, if you try to define it for the one function, it is removed from the other.

Also, you used to be able to use the carriage return key to enter View from Browse or to enter Fullscreen from View. That was also very handy, for the same reasons. There seemed to be no ambiguity. I would like to be able to go on with this also. I note that a double-click still fulfills both functions, so why not RETURNo?

I consider that any way of avoiding using the mouse is good. It also can be an accessibility feature.

To be a wee bit more precise, I would shortcut keys to take into account the context. That way RETURN can mean one thing in View (go to Fullscreen) mode and another in Browse mode (go to View mode on currently selected image). Similarly for ESC: go from Fullscreen to View and from View to Browse.

Simple, non?

Since KDE SC 4.9, fullscreen has been separated from browse/view modes, making it possible to browse while in fullscreen (more on this in this blog post: http://agateau.com/2012/08/08/whats-new ... nview-2-9/ )

This caused a few changes in keyboard shortcuts:

- F11: Toggle fullscreen on and off
- Enter: Toggle between browse and view mode
- Esc: Leave fullscreen

Based on user feedback, the behavior of the Esc key changed again in KDE SC 4.10: it now goes back to Browse mode.

Good, that is what I want too. Looking forward to 4.10. Thanks for the reply.
