In a previous version, Gwenview asked for delete confirmation if one used shift+delete. This is not true anymore. Nor can I find how to set it in the settings, as indicated at
http://en.linuxreviews.org/Image_viewers How do I get this back? I am really tired of deleting pix I did not want to delete. Using Gwenview 2.9.5 on KDE 4.9.5 under Kubuntu Quetzal. |

I am asked for confirmation so it still exists in 4.10
2 things to try: - does it exist for a new user - does renaming ~/.kde/share/config/gwenviewrc bring it back (or edit this file and see if there's a delete option that can be removed) |

Aha, It appears that Gwenview follows the options of Dolphin. And that works.
I am glad, but it would be nice to have complete documentation so one does not have to ask everything on a forum. |

strange, one would assume the delete confirmation option would be specific to each app

In quite a few areas, KDE applications share preferences and settings.
This is especially the case in file management.

It would be nice if there were a standard there: Either everybody does it or no one does. I realize the difficulty of implementing such a policy though. |
