Don't know how to describe it better, screenshot added.
http://i.imgur.com/TBiS1FP.jpg This is happening for some time, with every possible image. Both ranging in format and size. konsole output:
Using trunk, but the same result with gwenview from 4.10 branch. This does not happen with gvpart in konqueror. Also, does not happen with images where i don't have r-w rights, e.g. in /usr Any ideas? |

Very strange, which versions of kdelibs, kde-runtime, kde-workspace and gwenview are you using?

All of this is with trunk.
Now, i experimented more. With KDE installed at /opt i had the same problem. Then i uninstalled plasma-mobile, and the problem went away, but not with the /usr install. Tried clearing $kdehome/share/apps/gwenview and $kdehome/share/config/gwenviewrc, moving $HOME/.local, no difference. It is indeed very strange, and i am left without ideas, so that's why i'm writing here |

Does this occur under a new user with the /usr installation?

Hm, there it seem to happen only with larger images. However, what is strange if it does happen, it shows the transfers of 2 images:
The most annoying part about the issue is this: (this is with my main user, in /usr prefix) It's really slow! While that would led me to believe i have a really slow drive , since it does not happen on another user is rather strange. |

I againg tried gwenview from KDE/4.10 branch, and the issue does not appear on my problematic account/install

This is extremely unusual behaviour, and indicates something is wrong with kuiserver.
Can you try checking for kuiserver or job related settings in kdeglobals?

Sorry for a late reply, didn't realized there was a further response.
Meanwhile i realized the issue was happening when i had kipi plugins installed (with that try from 4.10 branch i didn't have libkipi headers, so it got built without kipi support, and thus worked flawlessly). Then i tried master, and again worked flawlessly without plugins. Now, after some time has passed i am able to normally use gwenview, with kipi-plugins, and no more transfer dialogs. I would still like to know how did this got resolved, but i didn't do anything. (greped now $KDEHOME, only kuiserver instance is in kdebugrc) |

One possible option is that a Kipi plugin, thumbnailer or something else was interfering in Gwenview's operation somehow. Good to see you found a solution however.
