In Gwenview under the operations tab there is a file operation titled "Open With". When you click on it, it displays a pulldown with a list of programs to open the selected images with. On my setup the first entries on the list are Arora, Firefox, Gimp, Gwenview, Krita, Mypaint, it continues with other programs.
I want the first item to be Gimp. The ability to remove some items would be nice but I really want the order to be right. The list is not following the Application Preference Order under the File Type Options for the properties of that particular mime type. On my system if I go to properties for that file, choose file type options, I will see an Application Preference Order for .jpg to be Gwenview, Gimp, Krita, Firefox. In Gwenview I would expect it to ignore opening a file in itself and present the list to me as Gimp, Krita, then FIrefox. Since Gwenview is not following the system's application preference order, how is the order for that pulldown set? |

the list is the apps listed for that mime type (systemsettings -> file associations) but in alpha order instead of preference order, the list is not specific to Gwenview
if you try file -> open with -> other application -> enter "gimp" in empty field -> check remember ... -> ok, in Gwenview you will change the file association for that mimetype and then any jpg (for example) will then be opened in Gimp by default you could check bugs.kde.org and post a bug or wish if not already there |

You're right, it is the right list, just sorted alphabetically instead of the order I set. I guess that does qualify as a bug, thanks. |

Just worked on it: this review request: https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/109976/ fixes it.
