Hi,

is there any way to configure Gwenview's integrated video player settings? I'd like to activate deinterlacing (for my x264 mts files at least) and deactivate the record time and date overlay.

Many thanks!

Gwenview isn't meant to be a full featured video player, would suggest you try something more appropriate with a full complement of options

Your answer isn't very helpful. I use Gwenview to view and manage my photos. It would be ideal if I could use the same application to view and manage the videos I made with the same camera as well.
I assume it must be possible to satisfy my requests with little effort - for example with some settings in a config file. Unfortunately, I couldn't find out by myself which file to edit.

Unfortunately these settings are controlled through a application API only, which Gwenview does not make use of to my knowledge.
The defaults however may depend upon the Phonon backend in use. Which one are you using?

Changing the settings in Dragon Player may possibly have an impact, but I do not think it will.

Ben is right, all Gwenview does is ask Phonon to play the video, and Phonon does not expose the settings you need. You may get better result with different Phonon backends, these days VLC and GStreamer Phonon backends are worth trying.
