Advancing to next picture problem

Tue Apr 08, 2014 5:58 pm
I used to be able to hold down the > arrow to browse a directory of images quickly. It would show the next picture, then immediately the next one and carry on until I let go of the key.

At some point my distro updated and now if I try to do that it will only show the next picture and then continue skipping images but WITHOUT showing me them which is utterly useless. It makes no sense at all to continue skipping to the next image without showing it to you first.

Does anyone know why this behaviour has changed and is there any way to restore the old behaviour?

In which mode in Gwenview is this? The full screen or view mode?

Either.

In full screen you can see the filename/highlighted thumbnail advancing as space/forward arrow are held down, but the actual image itself only updates once when you first press the button and again when you let go.

Slideshow works but is far too slow for what I need, I can advance quicker by just pressing space/forward arrow quickly but its not really practical when I am dealing with nearly 6800 images at a time.
