A bug switching to fullscreen!

I like Gwenview very much and have been using it for several years now, but now I have a an annoying problem.

My version of Gwenview is 4.13.1 using KDE development platform 4.13.3 running on Mint 17 64bit Cinnamon.

Using gwenview as a normal user and switching to fullscreen mode I get a delay of over half a minute.

Using gwenview as root there is no delay, maybe a fraction of a second but nothing to worry about.
But that is not how things should be.


Any one else having this problem and how to solve it?

Can you reproduce this behaviour under a new user?
