Disabling Color profile support

Mon Sep 15, 2014 7:03 pm
Hello,
gwenview started to display my photos in strange colors. So I have searched what is the reason for this and I have found that gwenview recently started to support color profiles. So I suppose the strange colors are caused by them.

See following image. http://kufr.cz/kk/gwenview.jpg and compare:
  • the photos displayed by gwenview
  • the thumbnails in gwenview (looks pretty good, gwenview does not support color profiles in thumbnails)
  • the photos displayed in gimp

Unfortunately I did not find a way how to disable Color profile support. Is it possible?

thanks,
Karel

I'm afraid I don't see an option to do that - but you could try stripping the colour profile out.
Note that the way the picture is displayed at least in your screenshot does not appear to be discoloured.
