Why slideshow in full screen only still?

Really liked 1.8? when it worked nicely to have a slideshow in the normal window but haven't seen any way of forcing it to do that yet on, the newer versions.

Just seems really weird if I can flip through images without going to full screen why can't a couple of lines of code that already exist do it for me?

Is there any other kde app I could use to do a slideshow without full screen?

you could try using one of the QT viewers such as described here http://www.maketecheasier.com/lightweig ... for-linux/

if the functionality was once present and is no longer consider reporting a bug on bugs.kde.org
