A recent update has stopped gwenview from displaying tiff images, for example this one. I am told that "Loading ‘CCITT_1.TIF’ failed. Loading meta information failed." If I launch gwenview from the terminal with the filename as an argument, I get the following.
I've also tried renaming the file to *.tif and *.tiff, but it still fails. Arch Linux The package manager says gwenview 14.12.2, but the GUI menu says Gwenview 5.0.0 pre, using KDE Frameworks 5.6.0.

Ah, I did have libtiff5 installed, but after installing qt5-imageformats, it now works. Would you consider the somewhat uninformative error message a bug? If so I'm happy to file it.
Thanks again for your help. ==EDIT== I just found this bug in the Arch tracker. |
