kipi-plugins

Have installed both gwenview and the kipi-plugins, but keep getting "no plugins" when click on the gwenview place to activate plugins.
What do i need to do to get them to join?

1st what are you running - distribution and version of KDE

what version of gwenview and kipi are installed?

try reinstalling both (alt+f2)

in krunner run
Code: Select all
kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental  2> /dev/null

Tried the reinstall and no improvement. Ran the code in krunner and no go.
Am running slackware 14.1 and kde 4.10.5

Started with install of gwenview-4.10.5-i486-1 and kipi-plugins-1.9.0-i486-5sl; then, when reinstall didn't work,
I download, converted from rpm, and installed [successfully]:
kde-kipi-plugins-core-4.13.0-alt1.i586.rpm
kde-kipi-plugins-common-4.13.0-alt1.i586.rpm
kde-kipi-plugins-4.13.0-alt1.i586.rpm
kipi-plugins-0.1.7-alt1.i586.rpm

Still get message that no plugins found when click on plugins tab at top of screen.

also I wouldn't think mixing versions of Gwenview and Kipi would be a good thing
