Hello,
I'm using OpenSuSE Tumbleweed. Since several Versions earlier the rudimentary but helpful possibilities of image editing in Gwenview are gone, as well as for example the html-export for slideshows etc. I think, these facts are well known and i wonder, that they aren't fixed. My currently installed gwenview is version 19.08.3 in kde frameworks 5.64.0 and qt 5.13.1. kipi-plugins are installed. This fact is annoying as i am forced to use another picture-collections-viewer. Currently i mostly use Xnview. But it can't be the right way to use proprietary software. Since the last update gwenview crashes together with kdeinit5, when in the folder-view a tif-picture is found (i tried with gimp-generated and photoshop-generated tif-pics). Error-reporting of gwenview doesn't work, as the error-report-routine wants to install some debug-packages (using zypper), but doesn't find them.
When starting Gwenview from console the output is:
Is there anybody, who can make Gwenview the powerful Viewer-Software-Multitalent, it was in earlier times? Thanks a lot Michael |
