Hi there,

So, after upgrading to Krita 4.3.0, the .kra files are not opening in Gwenview. It just says in Gwenview, "Loading 'file.kra’ failed Loading meta information failed."

But my older .kra files made with version 4.2.9 open fine in Gwenview. From what I get, these new .kra files are basically zip files now as I saw in Ark. Will there be a fix to support the newer files?

Never mind. I figured it out. You need to set this file to open as zip file in Ark, because it's a straight up zip file now. There's a .png file in it called "mergedimage.png." Just extract it and view it that way.

But it is a bit of a bummer that I can't open .kra files directly in Gwenview with the newer files created with Krita's file format anymore. Oh well. No big deal.

This newer version of Krita took me a while to figure out how to fill in a simple shape. It filled the whole canvas when I used the fill tool. So after almost like almost an hour of searching, I figured it out: For that, make sure to select under the tool options, under sample, "All layers." Man, I think it's becoming more like Photoshop every day. And I'm happy with it! :P
