Hi,

I just tried importing from my camera for the first time under my MX-Linux / KDE setup. Plugging it in, the system sees the camera and offers to open Gwenview. Dolphin does not see the camera, and Gwenview yields a URL error upon opening and each attempt to read the camera.

I then opened Thunar and it saw the camera, and I was able to browse to its storage and see the pics.

I then open gthumb and it imported the pics with no problem.

gthumb is what I used under XFCE, but it would be nice to have Dolphin see the camera, and I would like to see how Gwenview works.

Alternatively, does anyone know the parameters to use for setting up gthumb to automatically appear when the camera is plugged in? My attempts have failed.
