I am quite sure that I once opened gimp files with gwenview on my Pi, after reinstalling recently I get an error message though.
I guess I am missing some packages, but I have no clue which ones. What would I need to install manually on a Pi to make gwenview open xcf files? system is:
gvenview is

I believe it has to do with the gimp's new compression format. Try this. In gimp>savefile>bottom of the save window uncheck that new format thingie..https://imgur.com/a/1TgoaHR
Then gwenview, okular, qimgv and others will be able to open it.

Hi,
thanks for the reply. Actually, I am aware of the problems with 2.10 and already tried saving in "Legacy Mode". So this should not be the cause. Moreover, the 2.10 standard is opened without issue on Suse. Cheers |

Kubuntu. Unless in legacy I can't open them. Haven't tried flatpaks yet.

Yes, I can confirm this issue on my Lubuntu laptop (18.04.).
But even in "Legacy" it does not work on the Pi. Cheers |
