gwenview and dbus

Thu Nov 05, 2009 8:52 pm
I'm trying to control gwenview using qdbus from a shell script. After a lot of trial and error I've mananged to get gwenview to show the next image with

Code: Select all
qdbus --literal org.kde.gwenview-10136 \
  /gwenview/MainWindow_1/actions/go_next  trigger

But I cannot get it to display a file named on the qdbus command line. I've tried the actions view, open and edit_location without success.

If there's anybody who knows how to do it then I'd love to hear how.

An action such as the one you are after would need to be added to Gwenview's D-Bus API. Those actions are the toolbar buttons that you see throughout gwenview.

Thank you. I'll have to find some other way of doing what I want. It might be difficult I doubt that it'll be impossible.
