First, I liked the gwenview 4.3.x Start Page layout better. In 4.4.x, Places is far on the right. Recent Folders/Recent URLs take up to much space on the left and I can't seem to reduce this for whatever reason (without reducing the entire window size). Also even if I disable History, now I have a big blank space on the left that takes up most of my Start Page. Ideally, I want Places/Tags/History all in ONE tabbed view like 4.3.x. Is there some option I'm missing here to restore this layout, or is this not possible in 4.4.x?

Anyone know what the reasoning behind the 4.3.x to 4.4.x UI shuffle was?

I did not see any settings to change the layout in Gwenview on Trunk...

I don't know why this was done however.
