Hi
I recently updated to kipi-plugins 2.4.1, which have finally a nice geo-tag editor (with osm support, etc.). When using kphotoalbum, it shows up under Plugins → Images → Geo-location and works just fine. But when I open gwenview, I don't get this menu entry and can't use the geo-tag editor. Don't they both use the very same backend? What's the reason for this and what can I do to get the same kipi functions in gwenview? I use Gentoo Linux, the kipi USE-Flag is set for gwenview. Greetings, l3u |

KPhotoAlbum and Gwenview do share KIPI plugins, but plugins can express feature requirements. If the application does not support the required features, the plugin won't appear in the list. I haven't tested, but I guess the geo-tag plugin requires the application to support storing geo-tag information. Gwenview does not know how to store geo-tag information yet, so the plugin gets disabled.
