Hello,
I'm pretty sure you already gave reasons why you didn't put a breadcrumb in view mode like in the thumbnails mode but I can't find where... It would be so much easier to quickly view pictures that are in a lot of folders. And thank your for taking the time to listen your users, this is fantastic

I don't think I ever wrote about the reasons but I indeed thought about it :)
I didn't put breadcrumbs to give more space for the image. Can you describe how you would use the breadcrumbs in view mode? |

The thumbnails view is great but I often browse my pictures in "view mode" (when I want to enjoy nice wallpapers or others pictures ) and navigate with the space/backspace keys. If my pictures are sorted in a hierarchy of many directories, I can't see where I am exactly when I display a picture in view and more importantly, I can't quickly navigate to an other directory. I must then go back to navigation mode, go to an other folder with the icon view or the breadcrumb (but I use the breadcrumb because it is great !) and go back in view mode.Sound maybe pretty futile but in my workflow, I sorely miss this feature ![]() Btw, if I really need more space for my pictures and don't need any navigation tools, I use the fullscreen view.

There is a workaround for the lack of breadcrumbs: open the sidebar and pick the "Folder" tab. From there you can quickly pick another folder.
Hint: you can quickly toggle the sidebar with F11 for Gwenview < 2.9, F4 for Gwenview >= 2.9. |

This workaround is far from being as streamlined and handy than the breadcrumb
but you may have some technical or ergonomical reasons that I'm not aware.Cheers
