KMail removing names on reply

Wed Mar 21, 2012 7:30 pm
Running Mint 12 KDE with KMail 4.7.3. When I reply to a message, KMail says, "Truncating recipients list to 0 of 1 entry." The compose window then appears, with no recipients. Any idea why? Could this be related to the setting "Use recent addresses for autocompletion"? (I have that turned off)

Ah, once again I seem to have solved my own problem after additional poking and prodding. Apparently, setting the "maximum number of recipients..." setting in the Composer part of configuration to zero will, in fact, limit the number of recipients to zero. Just like it says. Doh! I was hoping for a "no limit" setting, but there doesn't seem to be one, so I set to to 100 (as if I even have 100 friends!).

I would recommend filing a bug report about this, as KMail certainly shouldn't permit you to set the limit to 0.

Good point. Like allowing an auto-targeting device on a gun to aim at my foot :)
