I'm on ubuntu 11.10, and when adding events when I want to choose a category the drop-down doesn't close after I click on a category. If I click somewhere else inside the event window the drop-down closes but the category if wrong, sometimes the first one listed, sometimes the one that was highlighted by the mouse position.
Sometimes more than one category gets selected, I'm trying to assign only one, but others get selected as well, probably because the were highlighted in a particular moment or something. Then it's almost imposible to remove the categories from the list. The categories were imported from a backup calendar file, I have some custom ones in addition to the default ones. The backup file was created on fedora 15. The current version is 4.7.3- () and KDE development platform 4.7.4 I like the idea of the drop-down for categories, makes it faster than using checkboxes, there's more clicking with checkboxes, but it's not working properly for me. What could be the problem? |

I found a way how to make it usable - I click with the mouse on the down-arrow, not inside the category text, then click on the category I want, the drop-down is still there, then I hit Enter and the drop-down disappears and the correct category is saved.
But generally speaking this is very buggy, is there something wrong with my installation or is everyone experiencing it and a bug needs to be reported? |
