Every time I try to edit an already sent mail via "resend mail" (no atachments!) kmail2 4.8 crashes with a segmentation fault (the crash report says it is not useful!). It is still possible to open the mail, hit "create new mail and copy/paste but still this shouldn't be happening especially because it's not only kmail2 crashing then but also the whole kontact suite!

Is there any solution?

With regards to making your backtraces useful, you will need to install debugging packages.

it turned out there is a strange bug:

When applying signatures the last line must be a blank. So I had to go into the signature editor and add a linefeed at the end of each one to create a single empty line beyond the actual text of the signature ...

that's it. doesn't crash anymore.
