I have upgraded from opensuse 11.4 to 12.1. When I open kaddressbook (4.7.2) now it is empty. When I import the old addressbook, *.cvs or *.ldif or *.vcf, it is still empty. When I add an individual contact it doesn't show it either. What's wrong? Where can I select the addressbook of my choice as I used to do in previous versions of kaddressbook?

couple things to try:

- run /usr/bin/kaddressbookmigrator

- create and login as a new user and test

- update to 4.8 repos

Thanks for the hints! I finally solved it by deleting all files relating to kaddressbook in ~/.kde4/share/apps-config
