How do I change the password for an email account?
Settings > Configure KMail > Selecting account > modify does nothing. I tried doing System Settings > Personal information > Select account > modify, but nothing either. Tried deleting the account in kwallet so kmail would ask for the password again, but it doesn't ask for anything. |

After you modified the password from KMail, try restarting Akonadi ("akonadictl restart" from console, or from the "akonadiconsole" program).

whoops, what I mean't by "does nothing," I mean not even a window pops up to be able to change anything. Actually, kmail in general stopped getting new mail after monday for no reason... |

Did you try modifying the account information from akonadi? Run "akonadiconsole" and you'll see your IMAP resources being listed among other things, then select the resource and click on configure (or right click -> Configure -> Configure Natively).
Try also restarting the relevant resources (on right click, restart). Also under their names they usually have information on their status (broken, offline, unable to connect, etc.).
