Hi,
i just migrated to kde 4.8.2 (kubuntu 12.04). Now my mail filters are not applied to incoming emails. I can however select them, and apply the filters manualy. How can i enable the filters to work automaticaly? I use only POP accounts if thats important. |

I have exactly the same problem. I was told it's broken in my version, but should be fixed shortly. I'm running kmail 4.7.3.

So there is no solution for this? Automatic pop mail filters just don't work?

I can't confirm it. It's just the reply I got when I asked about it. It seems to work on my machine if I manually apply the filters, and it occasionally works when I first start kmail, but once it's running, it seems to not work properly. Supposedly fixed in 4.9 or something. Again, I can't confirm anything other than it not working for me. Sorry.

I am also having the same problem in KDE 4.8.2. Ctrl+J don't work either. The only option I have is to Shift+Drag'n'Drop the messages to their corresponding folders.

As I remember filters only work on the inbox - if you have any special setting to send eg. mail from an identity to another folder filters will not be applied.

It is the same with an update to KDE 4.8.3. POP3 retrieves and send to inbox. Filters are set to move received emails to their respective folders, e.g. emails from gimp-user-list@gnome.org should be filtered and move to folder gimp, inkscape-user@lists.sourceforge.net should go to the folder inkscape, etc. but in spite of the properly set filters, these emails stay at the inbox ... and I get a very crowded inbox.
