Hi, I'm using OpenSUSE with KDE 4. My system automatically loads Kontact at boot time but a message pops up that says that Kontact is already running and launching it second time may result in mail lost. My guess is that system loads Kmail first and then Kontact attempts to load it second time. If I click on "Cancel" (or "Exit", I don't remember clearly) on the pop-up message Kontact is closed and I have to launch it manually. Altough not a big issue sometimes it is quite annoying.

Are you using sessions?

No. I haven't done anything to set up additional sessions. I checked all Ctrl + Alt + F# combinations all show login prompt |

What do you have set in Autostart (System Settings > Startup and Shutdown > Autostart).

There are two entries: "Desktop file" and "Script file" but they cannot be selected |

Check your "Startup and shutdown" control panel and see if in session handling there's "Start with latest used session".
