kmail2/IMAP - Offline Modus

Sat May 19, 2012 9:10 am
Hi,
can one explain how to get KMAIL2 running with offline-support for IMAP-Accounts? In Kmail1 that was working fine (Disconnected imap), but Kmail2 seems to fail completely if no network is available...

Thanks!

Open your accounts in the KMail preferences and see if "Enable disconnected mode" in "Advanced" is ticked.

This option seems to be new, thanks for the hint, that fixed it. Can this be enabled by default?

In this context...no useable help is available in the configuration dialog, or in the settings for different accounts (what is the advantage of 'go to offline after mail receipt'?). Will this be fixed soon?

Update. I noticed that when you switch between IMAP accounts, after the switch the no more mails are displayed. So 'properly working' is different....
