Just in case it is relevant, please set KDEDIR to "/usr".
Also, make sure $KDETMP and $KDEVARTMP both exist after being set.

Eventually, I came up with another easy solution: use project Neon to help me set up a separated environment for developing.
But still, thanks for your time and for helping me.
