kmail seems to ignore the already opened kwallet and ask me again and again for the imap password for sending emails.. this used to work just fine but now it renders my kwallet completely useless.. i'm using kmail 4.8.2

any idea how i can get kmail to use the opened kwallet again? (kmail has full access - "always allow")

I removed this wallet and when kmail asked for password again I typed nothing. I accepted an empty password. And it doesn't ask anymore. But I am not afraid that some other persons will have physical access to my PC.
I don't like the way kwallet works now. I read that it used to worked differently.

the problem is that it does not ask for kwallet password it asks for the imap password.. kmail asks for the imap password and ignores the already opened kwallet where the password is already stored
