Hi,
I use mutt with offlineimap. I am looking for importing ics/vcal meeting request to korganizer. I can save ics/val file with different filenames in a particular folder. Can akonadi point to that folder and imports to korganizer? if yes how to configure it? Thanks |

I've never done it but it should be:
systemsettings -> personal information -> Akonadi resource configuration -> add -> ical calendar file should also be able to do in Korganizer by right clicking in personal calendar pane -> add calendar -> ical calendar file |

thanks for this reply. But can it be automated. Something like I receive meeting request, I run a macro to save a file on particular folder, I refresh korganizer and I get to see calendar entry added?
Thanks |

Korganizer has the following command line options which would seem appropriate, the question would be if Korganizer is currently running does running it again with the import option function as you'd like. I did a small test and this seems to work but with a merge a pop up appears and you must id the calendar to merge into even if only one exists and if you use import the file is imported but the imported calendar is not enabled. If you don't get a better answer you should post to the kde-pim mailing list or the irc channel
Options: -i, --import Import the specified files as separate calendars -m, --merge Merge the specified files into the standard calendar -o, --open Open the specified files as calendars in a new window Arguments: calendars Calendar files or urls. Unless -i, -o or -m is explicitly specified, the user will be asked whether to import, merge or open in a separate window. |

Thank you. I will try this option and let you know all.

Hi,
This technique is not working. korganizer is not showing calendar entries even after konsolekalander --import <ics filename> Thanks |

it works for me but I'm using an ics file I creates by exporting from Korganizer, which may not be the best test case.
did you try adding the --verbose option to see runtime errors, also you can use kdebugdialog |
