Hi!

I'm trying to configure my mail, feeds, notes, calendar, etc. and I found Kontact to get all in a single place. With Kontact I have a sidebar with all that information and I can navigate through it.

But I'm confused. When I open Kontact it activates KOrganizer Reminder Deamon in the System Tray and if I click on it Kontact shows me the Calendar, that's ok. But if I close Kontact and I click on the KOrganizer icon (in the system tray) it opens only the calendar without the sidebar to navigate through the other options (like feeds), I means, It opens KOrganizer not Kontact.

So, my question is, how can I get Kontact instead of KOrganizer in the system tray?

Thank you, and sorry for my poor english.

Try this: Kontact -> settings -> configure Kontact -> mail _> appearance -> system tray -> always show Kmail in system tray

fyi - the remainder daemon starts because Kontact includes Korganizer and since it's a calendar the daemon is enabled and shown (though the icon visibility can be disabled but the daemon iirc will still run). This icon is for Korganizer, not the Kontact suite so when clicked it opens Korganizer.
