Hello
I use Thunderbird since umpteen years, but slowly I get unhappy with Mozilla. With Browsers it is no problem to change away from Firefox, there are plenty around. And to export the bookmarks and a list of passwords is not really difficult. But with Thunderbird it seems to me much more complicated. I use: about 10 different accounts many Add-ons, for instance the all important one MoreColumsforAddressbook with which I can sort my target addresses from the various addressbooks, of which I must be able to import them somehow. All in all there are certainly more then t00 addresses. I have also created various address compilations to use for mails to predefined groups. I am aware, that KDE offers an addressbook. Can I use that and then draw the groups from there to be used with KMail? In short, is there somewhere on this world wide web a good instruction to do exactly this swap from Thunderbird to the KDE ressources?

My advice would be to wait for 4.9 to be included in your distro. It will feature an importer from Thunderbird configuration, so that the setup will be migrated more or less seamlessly.
