Hi,
I have some computers, I use kmail. I can copy the kmail forder from one computer to the others and then, I have the subfolders. In the same way, I can export and import the filters and the adressbook. Regrettably, I didn't find a solution to do the same thing with the identities, the pop and smtp counts. Is there a "automatic" solution ? In fact, I put the values in the inputs of the forms step by step : it is very boring. Best Regards. Lionel |

Unfortunately, KDE PIM does not offer a way to export your preferences easily and import them on another computer at this time.
Copying of configuration files is also difficult - as constants and unique values to each Akonadi Database are stored in the configuration files I believe.

The backup / restore mail function of KDEPIM 4.9 should allow this in the future, however.

It should be under the tools menu.

As I'm not on the 4.9 branch, I'm having some hard time to figure what's in 4.9 and what will be in 4.10. See if you have a program called "backupmail" installed.

Ok, that means that proper backup is 4.10 material, I guess.
