Hi!
I gave kaddressbook another try after people told me some of the main issues have been solved. Though still there's no way to customize the address view (which should be the first and most basic feature to implement!) things look better and work smoother. So I tried to use a google ressource for synchronizing contacts, tasks and calendar. And even that works! Great! ... but everytime I login to KDE I have to enter my google password and username three (!) times (for addressbook sync, calendar and tasks) to grant access for kontact to use the google services. My understanding is that this should be done by kwallet or ksecretservice or whatever ... What am I missing and how can I fix this behaviour? thx for reading, piedro p.s: sry forgot: KDE 4.9.1, kubuntu 12.04, no proxy |

Are you using KWallet? Check in System Settings (Account Details > KDE Wallet) whether it's enabled or not.

Thx for asking einar. But yes, kwallet is working. Now the good news: It seems the problem that has been persistent for some time now suddenly disappeared. Though as far as I am aware there hasn't been any update in this area for some strange reason the google addressbook update now works without reentering my credentials. Strange but I am not complaining...
![]() I will watch this and check whether this stys solved ... thx anyway for your attention, piedro |
